San Francisco - Food, Nature, and Culture!

Whenever in the "City by the Bay," three things quickly come to mind: food, gorgeous views of nature, and a culture filled with diversity.

San Francisco is the perfect place to immerse oneself in a day filled with remnants of the past as felt when grabbing coffee on Haight and Ashbury as well as visions of the present as seen shopping from designer brands throughout Union Square. However, my San Franciscan adventure takes place in the public yet cozy setting of Golden Gate Park.

Nestled between busy city streets, Golden Gate Park immerses its daily visitors and new comers into a distant environment in which modern structures and buildings have yet to replace the beautiful trees in the park. Whether running or jogging through various routes in the park, sipping a cup of tea in a Japanese tea garden, watching a herd of buffalo, or sitting by a refreshing waterfall, Golden Gate Park never ceases to run out of activities for all ages.

You can make any moment at Golden Gate Park a memory to remember. Hold your date’s hand as you stroll through the flower gardens on a crisp evening night. Take a picture of your children’s birthday picnics with their friends. Quietly relax by a pond and watch little ducklings swim by. Sway your hands in the air as you listen to live music being played on the grass on a sunny summer afternoon. Whatever it is that brings a smile onto one’s face, Golden Gate Park’s plethora of features will surely bring about visits of fun and relaxation.

Accessible by car, bike, or foot, there are activities for everyone ranging from families to school field trips to college students. Loved by tourists and locals alike, this calming change of scenery is undoubtedly one of the city's finest treasures.
