My favorite thing to do in San Francisco, California is go to Pier 39

My favorite thing to do in San Francisco, California is go to Pier 39 which is located on a boardwalk. It is located right on the Pacific Ocean. It has a huge boardwalk where you can buy great food like clam chowder bread bowls, which are about $6.00 each. You can also see Alcatraz island from the pier. You are able to take pictures from the pier and capture Alcatraz in the background or take a boat out to tour the Alcatraz prison. There are plenty of sight seeing things on the pier.

It is very family friendly with tons of restaurants, people and gift shops. You can either take a taxi or a trolley down to the pier. We took the trolley and it is a once in a lifetime experience. Trolleys only cost $2.00 if that and you can ride all over the town. You can also walk on down from the pier boardwalk and see the famous Golden Gate Bridge. We took pictures of us with the bridge in our background. They turned out wonderfully! It's fun to drive over the Golden Gate bridge once we found it! It didn’t cost to go over but was difficult finding how to get on with all the traffic!

Within a couple of miles you can see so much history and a lot of diversity in one setting!

You can also drive down Lombard Street -- the shortest curviest road in the United States which isn’t far from the pier! It was very curvy and had beautiful flowers up and down the little road. If walking and all the sight seeing isn’t your thing, you can head downtown to the financial district which has tons of shopping! They have 5-story malls! There are so many stores you could spend a whole week just down there visiting each store.

It is unbelievable and my favorite places to visit in California.
