Kaua'i: WorldMark Kapa'a Shore

Kaua'i, the "Garden Island," is the northernmost island of Hawai‘i and lies about one hour away from Maui by plane. WorldMark Kapa'a Shore is sited on what is known as the Coconut Coast, the center of the hospitality industry on Kaua'i's east side. The resort offers 49 one- and two-bedroom units with ceiling fans (no air conditioning), and while it’s a waterfront resort, swimming here is unwise so an outdoor pool and spa satisfy immediate water-based needs. The resort also has tennis and shuffleboard courts.

Sail: Unless you feel like hiking 22 miles, the best way to see Kaua'i's mind-boggling Na Pali Coast State Park with its magnificent cliffs and waterfalls is by boat. Swim: With golden sand 50 yards wide and a quarter-mile long, Kalapaki Beach is the best beach on the entire east coast.
